What I did during CNY in Melbourne

It's 11.58pm. I couldn't sleep so I hopped on my cute doggy cushion and decided to blog. It has been awhile since my last post. I love to blog but what I could say : I have a real boring life right now, so nothing much I could write. My school commences on the March, basically I still have a month to go and it's 24 hours a day, so rounded up would be 720 hours. @@ OMG! Are you guys ever feel the same when holiday starts you wish it was shorter but when it's close to the end, you wish it was longer! lol. Human, you can never understand them! So at last, I decided to get myself a part time job. Yes after been putting myself to shame for 2 years, I start to earn my own money. Why do I say putting myself in shame is that most of my friends have been working part time during the holiday while I were at home.I would finally say that's a big achievement in my life!! Tomorrow will be the last day of my training and I'll officially be part of the staff members :)  What I've been learning these days? Mostly cleaning, making milk tea and japanese pancake :D  I think we have to come to the end of the post, Happy CNY to all!  I'll upload a few photos of what I'd done during CNY :D

Pre-CNY eve dinner since boyfriend had to work on CNY eve.
Roasted duck and pork (bought), butter prawn (by my awesome boyfriend) and braised pork belly (by me)
Photo taken at CNY eve dinner with my relatives
CNY must do - wearing red (luckiness).
So I'm wearing red nails colour, red pants and red platform wedges at chu 3.

Goodbye Miri

Its been a long holiday for me, I'm flying back Melbourne today. Despite my uni actually commences on March. Hometown is always the best place to get recharged after a long tiring period of study at oversea.

I gonna miss my family, Alvin's family, and all my best friends in Miri... I cherish all those time we spent and I just wanna let you all know December has been a great month for me. Absolutely love it <3

Bye Miri, I'll see you again next year~

Siamese Secrets Restaurant

If you're searching for nice restaurant in Miri, that's right, you have found the right site! I went to Siamese Secrets with my sisters and their friends the other day. It was such a great dining, and we paid around RM30 per person. For providing a great environment and appetizing food, it's not an expensive prices at all. Needless to say, our tummy almost exploded!

You  might wonder why do I bother to upload a picture of mango juice and ice lemon? Much to my surprise, they are very authentic. You don't have a problem like very diluted drink, which mean water stands 70%, while only 30% are pure juices.

I can't emphasize enough how important it is to have the right amount of ingredients to prepare a dish. Let says if 1 mango is required to make up a mango juice, use 1 instead of 1/2. Don't even think about 1/2 mango juice + lots of water. It's not the way to impress a customer. Hence, I would say Siamese did a good job here.

My sis ordered Chicken with Parmesan cheese, roughly around RM20. I tried a bite and it was good. Fulfilling yet not too big portion. Sensible price plus nice decoration on plate :)

If you're a big fan of lamb chop, this is definitely one of the dish you should go after. Black pepper always go well with the lamb. There are 3 pieces of them, but fear not, they are not greasy at all. Plus, veges come along with the dish, it hides under the lamb :)

My red curry chicken with rice. Yes, I don't like too much meat, plus I was craving for curry. I have to say I'm a little bit disappointed though. As I thought it should be curry full with coconut cream, but it's not the Thai Red Curry I'm looking for. Nonetheless, it taste really good. Though I can't really stand the spiciness. But if you like spicy food, this is something you might want to try out. It costs roughly RM20.

Siam quesadillas, inside the homemade tortilla skin, you have grilled chicken with salsa, lettuce and cheese sandwich. They are served with guacamole, sour cream and french fries. Well, it taste like chicken and veges wrap I had at oversea. My sis doesn't like it but I would say it's good!

Beef burger with chips? I didn't really try the whole thing. Th meat patties are a bit salty, but it goes well if you have the burger with the veges and the meat together.

When it comes to Pizza, Mirian always think about Pizza Hut. However, all of us know how it's like with their slow and bad service, plus lousy foods! My sister who has been Siamese for a few times, suggested we should try out beef pepperoni pizza. Apparently, she reckons it's their best pizza! This beef pepperoni pizza might be a very thin slices, but you surely wont regret after having a bite. I absolutely love it!

PS: I need to mention, I did not get any paid for advertising this restaurant. As a blogger, I just think I should share good stuffs with fellow readers, plus good restaurant should get promoted :)
